Permanent Stats

As Gareth said a few weeks ago, it must be about time for another "all time" or "career" stats update. The last time we had one was when we reached 200 matches. Tonight the Popped Collars will play their 248th and 249th matches in a double-header, presumably meaning that next week will see the 250-game milestone reached.

Since the blog will be on holidays for the rest of the year, I am marking the occasion one week early by presenting the second of the blog's 'quick-access' pages, to go along with the Pre-History page introduced last week.

This new page will hold a collection of basic and popular stats and records such as:

• players' career batting and bowling stats
• high and low scores, best and worst bowling
• team wins, losses and records

For now, it just has our major players' career stats. I will start adding the extra things once I have set up a quick and easy system to update each of them - otherwise the page will inevitably sit there forever not being updated.

If all goes to plan, an expanding suite of stats will be there - and will be kept up to date - from the start of 2015.
