Brad has missed the last 3 matches, and after 2 very disappointing performances in those 3 weeks, questions were asked about whether we ever play any good when Brad is away. People seem to think we lose every game that he doesn't play - possibly an exaggeration, but let's see what the stats say about it:
Win | Loss | % Won | |
Brad plays | 158 | 70 | 69.3% |
Brad-less | 21 | 16 | 56.8% |
So while it's not as bad as people seem to think, the win-loss ratio is significantly down when the regular captain is away! Clearly he either inspires us, or scares us into playing well - I'll leave that open for discussion.
Fortunately, he is back for today's games, so we should win 1.39 out of 2 games tonight.
Also, because he mentioned it himself, the 3 matches that he has just missed equals the longest absence he has ever had. I'll check out this stat more another time, but I suspect that no other person on the team has ever kept their absences so short over their career!
Alright we'll call it a draw
