Low contributions to winning sides

Last week's game was an absolute thriller, with Rian's bowling, and a top bit of fielding by Brad on the back net on the last ball, saving the game for the Popped Collars on the last 3 balls. However, after the game, Gareth was all about his own personal performance... for the poor quality, rather than the good, that his stats showed. He scored -15 with the bat, and went for 41 runs from his two overs bowled, for a contribution of -56. Thus he asked the question:

What is the lowest contribution by a player on a winning team?

I will start by noting that Gareth's -56 is a lowly thirteenth on the all time list of worst contributions. Most of those that are worse have been by people playing against us, rather than for us (we have sent some opponents to some phenomenally bad contributions - something for a future blog post).

So thirteenth overall, but the second worst by a PC player - only a chap going by the name of "Blando" has had a worse game - and that only by 1 run. On that day, Alex had almost the same figures as G... -15 and 2/42 (that's right, he took 2 wickets!!). And on that day, Popped Collars got punished by the 4 Skins.

And all the opponents with worse contributions were in games that we won - meaning that Gareth has indeed set the record for lowest contribution on a winning team!

Congratulations to G, who stole away a record previous held by Sanjit. The top 8 are listed below, and it also includes a performance from earlier this season, against the same team - by Paul, the fill-in from Matt's team.
