Milestones

In international cricket, there's always great excitement when someone reaches something-thousand test runs, or something-hundred wickets, plays their one hundredth test, or scores their 100th international century. And so on.

Here's a quick look at some upcoming milestones (both good and bad) for the Popped Collars players.

Andy
Despite having only played 128 games for Popped Collars, Andy has played 145 innings. Only a handful more before he takes the crease for the 150th time. And given the way he must be lapping up those extra innings, he'll probably play all 5 of them in the next two games.

He has also taken 246 wickets. Closing in on 250.

Brad
Not much coming up for the captain, although he has recently passed 3000 runs (3083) and played the ball into the side net for two runs for the 500th time.

He also got hit to the back net for the 250th time (and average of just less than once per over) sometime in his last couple of games.

Gareth
He has not played anywhere near the most games, but G is the bowler who has taken the most wickets. With 289, he is closing quickly on becoming the first to reach 300.

With the bat, he has been run out 97 times. Just three more cries of "slide the bat!" required to reach the century.

Matt
50 matches! The most recent game for PC was the 50th for one of our most recent recruits.
He has managed to claim 94 wickets in that time.

Rian
Having been run out 98 times, it is quite possible that he and Gareth could each make the 100 in the same match - perhaps the same over. Perhaps of consecutive balls. Such is the bond of this great pair.

Rian has also hit the ball to the back net on 394 occasions.

Sanjit
196 wickets to his name, he moves towards the double century.
98 times he has been caught out, we'll count down to the hundred.
He has also successfully played a shot directly to the back net (a five, or a seven) 99 times! Just one more for the great man, and there will undoubtedly be a great roar from the crowd.

Xavier
Has played one more innings than Andy (146) and so is approaching the 150 as well. Obviously he's taken a good number more games to get there than Ragg.
The only other thing near a milestone among X's numbers, for good or for bad, is 51 times run out - meaning the half century came sometime in his last few innings.
